Hi, I'm Rochelle!
In a Nutshell
I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who loves early family nutrition. Seriously, it's my passion. Once I started learning about the impact nutrition plays (especially on my specialty areas) I knew I was hooked! That feeling of amazement never subsided.
I am not just some professional who recites what they've learned in a book. With two kids under 3, I live what I'm telling my patients daily.
I totally get it. I struggled with weight gain in my pregnancies. I had a very hard time making enough breast milk. I struggle daily with my kids' resistance to new foods, choosing not to eat sometimes and begging me for ice cream. Yep, I'm just another normal person, and we're far from perfect.
That being said, I do have the knowledge and tools that can help you. I meet my patients where they are and help them develop the plan that will ultimately be successful for them.

As a kid my weight fluctuated a lot. I had self-esteem issues. I had eczema. I ate junk food (a lot). I was lucky enough to have an immediate family member who is also a dietitian. Normal for my family was discussing food/health conditions around the dinner table. It took me until college to realize that this is not the norm.
I finally achieved and maintained a healthy weight in early adulthood... until my first pregnancy. Yep, I gained a lot of weight. I had a mostly healthy diet, but still sometimes indulged in jalapeño poppers and Oreo blizzards. I didn't understand then what I know now about why I could not stop gaining weight quickly. Everything I had learned I was putting into action - so I didn't understand why the advice I'd been trained in was not working for me.
After the birth of my first baby I started to lose weight, but got immediately pregnant again (surprise!). Again, I gained too much weight (despite my best efforts). After delivering my second baby I thought the weight would return to normal eventually, of course with some diet planning and exercise. Well, it has just not been that easy. I'm making it back to where I want to be, but it's taking much longer than I expected.
Ok, why am I telling you this??? Because every relationship is founded on trust. Especially in a client/patient relationship! When we work together I will ask you many questions. I think it's fair that you see the vulnerable side of me, and know who I am. I want you to feel comfortable opening up to me.

Meet my family
I am lucky to have an amazing husband and two beautiful kids.
My husband and I love Montana! We were both raised here, and are thrilled to be raising our kids here too. We love anything outside - fishing, camping, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, gardening... you name it!
Bonus: if you want to see more of my personal life follow me on Instagram - most of my posts are home life there 🙂
Fun facts about me:
♥ I can't live without fresh salsa. Seriously. It's like a major food group to me. I love to make it, but have a few brands I love and don't mind buying (because life is busy, and who has time to be in the kitchen constantly?)
♥ I prefer to drink water cold. I carry a double-walled stainless steel water bottle everywhere with me. The water stays cold, and I always have water available. (Now my husband has one too and he takes his everywhere with him too!)
♥ I moved to Mexico when I was 21 (spur of the moment) with my husband. We had 3 weeks to pack and get passports. Although it was a cool experience, there's no place like home. Montana will forever have my heart.
♥ I don't like the ocean. I know - weird right?? I get sea sick, I don't like tasting salty water, and I hate how you find sand everywhere for days. It's kind of like glitter when you think about it...
♥ We're Bobcat fans. Go Montana State! (Maybe you noticed I threw in a Bobcat gear picture of us above..?) If you've never been to a "Brawl of the Wild" game here in Montana you're missing out! (tickets are hard to get though...)
